by Caden There are tectonic plates that make up the Earth’s outer shell. If the tectonic plates slam into each other they will build up a lot of pressure and that will cause an earthquake. They can slide smoothly but they can still catch on another. They still can cause sudden violent events. The plates can slide in three different ways. These plates are not fixed in place so they float around like giant rafts. Plates can get scrunched like hoods in a car crash which is how mountains are made.

by Serenity Christopher Columbus came to America. Spain sent him on expeditions to claim land. There was a new land and an old land. The new world has corn, tobacco, cocoa, and potatoes. The old world has horses, cattle, and sugarcane. Some of these were for good trading. The new world is North and South America. The old world is Europe, Africa, and Asia. by Katie A force is any push or pull and if one pulls or pushes harder it will go the way of the stronger force.Another way of force is the gravity all around use,it helps everything on the ground. There is another way when you pull a wagon you are using force to pull it. One way to show forces can be with something as little as a marble. If you touch it it will move. It is using the force of your finger. Another force is kind of like the first one just with a door if you are on one side and your friend is on the other side and you both push and if you have the same force it will stay still. What I thought about the door thing I thought they would get their finger in it and they'd have to go to the hospital. There is another thing about force it is with magnets. They will have some metal balls in between them. If one magnet is stronger it will move to that side with the stronger magnet. by Isiah In “Washed Away”, a hurricane hit Louisiana and all the streets were covered in debris. The boys gramma and grampa’s house was all wet and soggy. His grampa’s chair was invaded by black and blue mold. His old house back in Louisiana had the whole top floor taken off and the bottom didn’t even look the same.At the beginning, you read this text “Put your rain boots and gloves on Seth” by the way the boys name is Seth.My thoughts on the story are that it’s great. It tells you that a natural disaster can happen any time so never be like just don’t be like I’ll never see a tornado because it will never happen. The swamplands that surround the Louisiana coast got all filled with salt water and the swamp water went all the way to the town that’s why it’s wet outside there in the story. This story is fiction. What is fiction you may ask? Well, fiction means that it’s not based on a real event. However, the Titanic was non-fiction and non-fiction is real not fake like frozen, that’s fiction. All in all the story “Washed Away” was a really good story. I liked it. by Axton Division is when you have a problem and you just have to times and you will have your answer. So if know what multiplication is you can divide because multiplication and division are the pretty much the same thing--just opposites. Dividing is good because it has hard facts. Hard facts don’t change. by Josh
Forces is a push or a pull. Force is when someone or something is pulling or pushing. If dogs are pulling on one toy they will have the same balance. If one dog has more strength than the other one the force will be unbalanced. A force is can make an object move. When you go down a roller coaster gravity is pulling you down. When you have two magnets, they can move metal pieces. You use force to move a marble. You can us forces when you put two trains together to have more force.
by Chance Division is when you have numbers that make a equal group. For example 189=2 you have 9 groups of 2. There are 3 things you use in division. First is the divisor, second is the dividend ,and the last one is quotient. Division is the opposite of multiplication. You can divide in school, at home, or your job. That means that you can use division anywhere. by Megan

by Katie On 1-4-17 we moved our desks around and the couch. We moved the couch and desks because we had a mess of cords so we got our own plug ins. Once we moved our things around we have more room to do math games. I really really like the new arrangement because when we do kahoot we have space. Enjoy =) |
