What I will do this summer is go swimming in Humboldt. I’m going to have a pass. Some of my friends will be there. I’m also playing baseball this summer. I am a third baseman. I also go camping in Minnesota. I have a lot of fun there. We go swimming, go on trails, and ride bikes at the campground. We go with our cousins and uncle. We mostly do stuff with Halo. My summer is busy. I have a lot more things than this. I get to watch Halo, our cousin, play softball. I enjoy watching her play. Here are some more things I will do this summer. I also have my birthday this summer. We are playing a baseball game that day. We better win. I will get ready for school also. I’m going to a new school. Hopefully summer will cheer me up.

My favorite person to be with is Ace. Ace is always there for me when I’m sad. He is nice to talk to. He’s also athletic, smart, kind, caring, and nice. Ace is my twin brother. Here is a problem with my brother. He is a Pirates fan. It’s so weird because he’s like the only person that likes them that I know of. It’s alright though. I do cheer for the Pirates and he cheers for the Astros so we're even. We all know he is going to be an Astros fan soon. More good things about Ace. He is in all of the sports I’m in. Here is one more problem he can be annoying though but that's what brothers are for right? I love Ace and he does the same back. Summer will be exciting with Ace. by Chance
One teacher that did something special in my life is Mrs. Nissen. She got me into reading the Harry Potter series even though I said I didn’t like it. I finished it this March. Mrs. Nissen also taught me how to average numbers in HR, RBI, BA, and OPS from the MLB. We are very close to finishing it. The Harry Potter series was important. The Harry Potter series was good for me because I learned bigger words. The series is the first fantasy-adventure story I have read. That is also important to me, reading different kinds of stories. I hope my kids would read them too. Averaging numbers was very important. I need it for what I want to be when I get older. Averages are something I would need to learn. I want to be a MLB statistician. I’m going to average the Houston Astros hopefully. If not the Detroit Tigers. Thank you Mrs. Nissen for teaching me. by Chance
If I were principal for a week I would hold an assembly. I would do it to let everybody know that I will be principal for the week. It could be fun or it can be boring. I could help watch the kids at recess. I could say hi to them at lunch. I could sit down and relax. I would even see what all the kids are learning and how good they’re doing. I may be able to teach them a different way if I have permission. It would be fun but there are some bad things about being principal. Here are some of them. You could get bored when you have nothing scheduled. Meetings are not my type of thing. I can doze out easily. I know a way though that will make kids happy. Extra recess will make them happy. If I were principal for a day I would try to make kids happy. by Chance
If I could only say 20 words they would be: hi, bye, thank, you, your, and welcome. Those are popular and polite words. That's why I would like to use them. The other words are home, run, baseball, basketball, football, and, why, love, like, Ace, mom, dad, Johnny, Sissy, and Chance. This is my family and hobbies I enjoy. It would be very tough only using 20 words for the rest of my life. We use a lot of words every day. They are very important. We use so many words. I really struggled to think of 20 words. by Chance
An outdoor game I play in the summertime is baseball. Baseball is my favorite sport. I played t-ball in Wesley. Now I play Little League in Algona. I play for the red team. I’m a 3rd baseman. I am also Ace’s backup catcher. I am a good hitter. I get a decent amount of base hits. I usually get walked or hit by a pitch in baseball though. When you get hit by pitch it could really hurt. I got hit at least 4-6 times. When Ace got hit by a pitch he got a big bruise.I once got hit in my foot. It didn’t really hurt though. I still like baseball even though I get hit. I still have fun. A list of answers that I want to be answered in baseball are:

What did I not do this weekend? I didn’t do a lot of things. There is so much to do. I didn’t get to see a baseball game. I usually watch them on TV, but it wasn’t on. I would watch the Twins and the Red Sox. I heard that they were high scoring games. Like one game the Red Sox won 17-6. I would go for the Twins. I used to like the Twins, that's why I would want them to win. I would also watch the Astros and the Angels. I think it would be a good series. I’m not on who won the most games. I think it is the Astros though. I would like to watch because the star pitcher Tim Lincecum who used to play for the Giants now plays for the Angels. by Chance
A person I would like to meet is Ronald Reagan. I hear many good stories about him. He is a famous U.S. President. Reagan was important to the U.S. Was Reagan a good president? If I would talk to him I would ask him questions. Like did you like being president? Was it hard? I would also ask if he liked being an actor. Did you know that Ronald Reagan was an actor? It would be awesome to meet Ronald Reagan. He was a great person in American History. That is what I think. I know it will be a great opportunity to meet him. He is important to me. by Chance
What I would do if all the electricity in the world went out? I would play outside and do many things. It would be hard though because you use so much electricity. It could be like the 1900’s except with better stuff. What would you do? I would still do sports with my brother Ace. I would read also. I will go out to the farm and help him because there are not many tractors you can use. I would go to school hopefully. Having fun will be hard sometimes. There are things that would not be fun. I would have to wake up early every morning. Not using electricity and not doing the things I loved would not be fun. It will be hard and tough. |
